Friendship

Each friendship I've had
along life's way
has seemed like a flower to me.
Some have bloomed steadily
year after year,
others have been fleeting,
but no less memorable.
Some have been cheerful and vibrant,
others more subtle. . . more gentle.
No two have affected me
in quite the same way.
How I love the beautiful friendships
that have flowered in my life!
