Terms of endearment as what Wikipedia define is a word or phrase used to address and/or describe a person or animal for which the speaker feels love or affection. Terms of endearment are used for a variety of reasons, such as parents addressing their children and lovers addressing each other.
It’s important to have that special name for each other because it’s what couples who are so in love do! And for a so in love couple, a term of endearment brings their relationship more sweet and intimate. Some would even say that calling their significant others with their pet names make their relationship more intensified. Hmmmm….
