A Prayer of Life

Teach me Lord to be sweet and gentle
In all the events in life
In disappointments
In the thoughtlessness of others
In the insincerity of those
on whom I Relied.

Let me put myself Aside
To think of the Happiness of others
To hide my little pains and heataches
To suffer from them.

TEACH ME TO PROFIT by the suffering
That comes across my path let me use it
That it may MELLOW me not harden
Nor embitter me
That it may make me PATIENT
Not irritable
That it may make BROAD in my FORGIVENESS
Not narrow, haughty and overbearing.

May NO ONE be less good for having come
With in my influence no one less PURE less TIME.
Less KIND, less NOBLE for having been
A fellow traveler in our journey
Towards Eternal Life. AMEN.

(More thins are wrought by prayer than this dream of.)

Prayer for a Happy Death by Cory Aquino

While I was watching the news the newscaster read a Prayer entitled Prayer for a Happy Death by Cory Aquino and immediately I search a copy of that prayer in the net and post it here in my blog.

Almighty God, most merciful Father
You alone know the time
You alone know the hour
You alone know the moment
When I shall breathe my last.

So, remind me each day,
most loving Father
To be the best that I can be.
To be humble, to be kind,
To be patient, to be true.
To embrace what is good,
To reject what is evil,
To adore only You.

When the final moment does come
Let not my loved ones grieve for long.
Let them comfort each other
And let them know
how much happiness
They brought into my life.
Let them pray for me,
As I will continue to pray for them,
Hoping that they will always pray
for each other.

Let them know that they made possible
Whatever good I offered to our world.
And let them realize that our separation
Is just for a while
As we prepare for our reunion in eternity.

Our Father in heaven,
You alone are my hope.
You alone are my salvation.
Thank you for your unconditional love, Amen.

My Prayer

I got this prayer from my thoughts to keep collection cards and i like it so much. I wanted it to share to my readers here in my blog. And the prayer goes like this:

Dear Jesus, Loving Saviour,
Be with me today
Guide each thing

that I may do
And bless each word i say

Always help me

to be good

And keep on loving Thee

So that my friends

will see Thy life
Of truth and right in me.

A Prayer of Faith

Thank you, Lord, for challenges
that put us to the test . . .
Thank you for the opportunities
to do our best.
Thank you for the confidence
that you will see us through . . .
Thank you for the way faith grows
when we depend on you.
Thank you, Lord, for all the times
you've helped us through before . . .
Thank you for the answered prayers
that help us trust you more.

Here I Am, Lord

Here I am Lord, all wrapped up
in yet another busy day,
praying that I won’t forget
to follow in Your loving way!
Let my words and deeds be measured
by the kindness You outpoured,
let me give in selfless service
nothing less than You, dear Lord.
Fill my heart with peace and patience,
slow me to gentler pace,
help me see Your spirit shining
in the most unlikely place.
Here I am Lord, far from perfect,
Thankful to be called Your friend,
Hoping to become more loving,
More like You today.
Amen.

I Pray . . .

Lord, I pray not for fame

in this world,

nor for treasures

that this world can bring.

I pray for the spirit of one tiny bird

that can fly through the tempest –

then sing.

Lord, I pray not for miraculous signs

and wonders that I may perceive.

I pray for the trust

of an innocent child

who can see your work, Lord –

and believe.
