Homemade Beauty Treatments

I've read this homemade beauty treatment from a magazine. I find it helpful especially that nowadays beauty products are expensive and can be draining on our budget. So why not give a try in this so simple homemade beauty treatments. :)

1. You can prepare your own facial toner by combining eight ounces of mineral water with two drops essential oil, like peppermint or lavender. Refrigerate your concoction for an invigorating skin boost.

2. If you need remedy for your dry hair, mix a teaspoon of almond oil with one mashed ripe banana. Massage it on to dry or damp hair. Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly.

3. If you have problems with oily hair, mix one part of aloe vera gel with an equal amount of shampoo. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice before shampooing on to your hair.

4. For pearly white, squeaky clean teeth, use a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide as your toothpaste once a week. This is effective in removing stains and plaque.

A Safe and Sound Home

My mom is a so meticulous when it comes to safety and security measures in our house. Sometimes we call her security freak. Lolz! Sorry mom. :)) She always sees to it to that our gate and door padlocks and door knobs are functioning properly. She also make sure especially at night that all our doors and gates and windows were properly closed and locked. I can’t blame her on that, she’s just concern for our safety. And there’s nothing wrong if you’re extra careful and vigilant in your own house for we don’t know thefts may wander around the corner. And thank god because one day my mom stumble upon this Home Security Information that gives her tips and ideas on the right and proper way of security measures. It also gives her the idea on how to be well protected at home and even outside your home. She’s now an expert on home safety and security.

SAVOR THE COFFEE

To all coffee lovers and coffee addicts out there and even to those who doesn't like coffee at all. I wanted to share this cute and inspiring story with you. The story goes like this:

A group of alumni, highly established in the careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit the conversation soon turned in to complaints about stress in their work and lives.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups-porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite, telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the alumni had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “Notice that all of the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it’s normal for you to want only the best for yourselves that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups . . . and then you began eyeing each other’s cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; your job, money, and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life. The type of cup one has does not define, nor change the quality of Life as a person lives. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us.”

God makes the coffee, man chooses the cups. The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

Live Simply. Love Generously. Care Deeply. Speak Kindly.

Enjoy your coffee!
